Public Health Informatics Resources:
Public health informatics is constantly gaining more recognition as it becomes more evident that technology can significantly improve health care. The University of Washington's Center for Public Health Informatics (CPHI) was one of the first public health informatics centers in the United States. CPHI continues to be a world leader in public health informatics, working closely with other organizations, institutions, professionals, researchers, practitioners, and individuals for the betterment of public health.

The CDC originally named two grant recipients for Centers of Excellence in informatics in 2005 - the University of Washington and Harvard. Since 2005, three more Centers of Excellence have been established, allowing more research to be done regarding public health informatics application and implementation.
