Information Collection:

Communicable Disease:
The Communicable Disease project looks at the workflow within a local health department while a notifiable condition reporting case travels through the state investigation and onto the CDC.

Chronic Disease:
This project studies chronic disease prevention and control activities in order to define a set of requirements, based on information needs and manpower for implementation, for developing an information system for chronic illness.

APEC Emerging Infections Network:
APEC EINet is dedicated to providing timely and reliable information via the Internet on issues of emerging infectious diseases in the Asia Pacific.

Public Health Reporting:
The goal of this project is to determine a common set of data elements for disease reporting and implement this data set using an electronic forms based approach.

Open-source Surveys:
We are currently developing custom surveys using the programmable open-source Lime Survey software package.

Workflow & Evaluation:
This project aims to develop a system for evaluating informatics interventions upon the chronic and communicable disease workflows.
