PHI2008:

PHI2007:
September 17 - 18, 2007. Innovative thinkers gathered in Seattle, including keynote speaker Don Detmer, President and Chief Executive Officer of the American Medical Informatics Association.
The realization of improved public health globally depends upon successful information exchange. Information collection, analysis, management and dissemination protocol maximizes the effectiveness of public health information by making it more universal across health organizations.
Establishing information protocol also allows resource-challenged environments to access information systems developed after years of research and analysis without having to sponsor that research financially. Open-source software and methodologies help protect agencies that are resource-challenged.
In an effort to promote global awareness of public health informatics issues and to begin to create a global partnership, CPHI has adopted a global partners initiative. As part of that initiative, CPHI also convenes an impressive array of individuals and organizations at an annual global public health informatics conference.
